Okay, so years of re-writing our band bio has led me to this:
Autonomous Apes is a Vancouver based immigrant trio playing grungy punk rock with a clear pop appeal
The band started in 2020 in the "cultural capital" of Russia - St. Petersburg. Young Egor (frontman) after being exposed to some Nirvana radiation fell sick with an idea of playing in his own grunge trio and to sing in English. It was not clear who in Russia would appreciate this second coming of Kurt Cobain and who would at least understand what young Egor would sing, but it did not stop our hero.
One lucky coincidence after the other took Egor straight to Vancouver, BC where he found his fellow friends from all over the world who were also dreaming of being like Nirvana but were born painfully far away from Seattle.
Anyhow, not quite in Seattle, but still eager to prove themselves Egor Kopshar, Rishabh Gulati and Justin Wu are doing their best to put their weird as heck name out there.
